A stone roof (in Italian: tetto in piode) is the only type of roof covering that is not dependent on the slope of the underlying framework.

Starting from a minimum slope of 40%, it is in fact possible to obtain a perfect geometry even if the underlying frame is not aligned.

This feature makes this type of roof the most suitable for crooked pitches. Because it is composed of individual elements, it adapts perfectly to the underlying framework.

Other positive characteristics are the aesthetic/artistic effect and above all the durability of the roof. Stone roofs can easily last for centuries with periodic maintenance.

Depending on the availability of materials and the desires of the customer, it is also possible to integrate antique, but still sound, piode with new materials to give the effect of an old roof.
